For more than fifteen years, my work has centered on helping people loosen the grip of perfectionism, self-criticism, and outside expectations so they can hear and trust their own inner voice.
This is a space for learning to offer yourself the same compassion, encouragement, and understanding you so readily give to others.

"Rachel has changed my life. My outlook since I heard her speak is different. Lighter. More filled with love. I am more patient with myself, my children, my husband, even total strangers. I feel the shift she talked about happening in me, and I am hopeful."

Hi, I'm Rachel.

I'm a New York Times bestselling author, former special education teacher, and speaker whose work has reached millions of readers around the world.

Before becoming an author, I earned my master's degree in special education and spent years supporting students with diverse learning and emotional needs. That work taught me the life-changing power of helping another person feel seen, supported, and capable, lessons that continue to shape everything I teach today.

For more than fifteen years, through my books, essays, courses, retreats, and speaking, I have helped people loosen the grip of perfectionism and self-criticism, strengthen self-compassion and self-trust, and create more meaningful connections with themselves and the people they love.

My work is deeply personal because I have had to learn these things too. The practices I share grew from my own journey from living with a relentless Inner Critic to developing a kinder, more supportive inner voice.

Grow Inner Kind brings together the steps and practices I wish I'd had when I first began that journey.
